Here is a Vintage 1926 Buescher True Tone Alto Saxophone in beautiful condition.
This instrument just came out of a 45+ hour refurbish job as described below:
All tone holes were inspected for levelness and adjusted accordingly.
The has been fitted to the receiver and has no leaks.
All of the pads were replaced with white Roo Pads supplied by MusicMedic.
All of the original snap in resonators were cleaned and reused.
Mechanical adjustments were made to the keywork.
Entire horn was cleaned, polished, and air dried with a compressor, piece by piece.
All new corks and felts.
Most springs replaced (some were still good).
Buescher True Tones are capable of producing an elegant sound that can suit the right classical saxophonist well. The original Buescher mouthpiece comes with this saxophone and pairs well with the horn. People who follow the teachings of Sigurd Raschèr know the true beauty wrapped within the sound of these classic American made Buescher saxophones. For anyone interested in studying classical saxophone, you may be interested in one of these horns. Some consider these horns to be one of the most underrated saxophones for their price. The sound is warm, round, and dark when using the original mouthpiece provided.
Silver Plating requires regular wipe down/cleaning of the instrument with a silver polishing cloth. Have the materials you need to care for this vintage instrument, keep it maintained, and it will last you a lifetime. The original case is in decent shape but, I recommend getting a more modern case to protect the horn if you decide to travel with it. They no longer make these horns and it should be well kept by its new owner.
